ABOUT THE LOVELY JOHANNA

This was Johanna Henriette Engelen, or J-Hen as she is know to her friends. Legend has it that she liked the colour mauve so much that after one rather intoxicating night out she had her own portrait covered in purple spray paint (wink).

This is a fine canvas copy of the result, complimented with an intricate wooden effect frame that is actually printed onto the same canvas as the artwork - creating quite the optical illusion. An ideal print to suit darker interior colour schemes, or perhaps those with an eccentric or eclectic room vibe.

PRODUCTION INFO

This artwork is produced using a Giclée fine art printing process using high quality tight-weave 400gsm cotton canvas. This is then stretched over a wooden frame milled from European kiln dried knotless pine. Everything is assembled and finished by hand to the very highest standard.

This frame is 1.5" (38mm) thick with the frame printing effect continuing and wrapped onto the sides of the piece.
